Life had changed quite a lot for fourteen-year-old Zoe, because of the devastating wildfire. Her father died fighting the flames. She got out alive thanks to her uncle, Giannis. Today, she is still unable to speak or take off the scarf covering her half-burnt face.

 

Only Father Theopnefstos, village’s new priest, supports Zoe, even from afar. He had a very humble and simple way of life, as he did in his early days back in the Monastery.
